The Opportunity
We are hiring a Vendor Specialist to join our Operations Team at Allianz. You'll manage end-to-end vendor processes, evolve governance processes, and ensure compliance with Irish regulatory requirements. Your role will involve vendor risk management and performance tracking. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational resilience and support governance activities. You will be supported to get up to speed on our outsourcing and corporate governance framework and will then be expected to take ownership of running it day to day - with escalation paths clearly defined.
This is a flexible hybrid working role, working from Allianz’s office in Elmpark, Dublin 4.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor & Third-Party Risk Management (Irish Regulatory Focus)

Support and develop the ongoing operation, implementation and maintenance of the company’s Third-Party Risk Management Framework.

EIOPA Guidelines on Outsourcing and DORA requirements

Support vendor due diligence to including: Information Security, Data Protection, Risk and Compliance

Maintain and update the Outsourcing Register.

Support CBI notification requirements for critical or important outsourcing.

Support Business Owners to develop and maintain documented exit strategies and substitutability assessments for critical or important outsourcing arrangements.
2. DORA Compliance & Operational Resilience

Support the implementation of DORA requirements relating to ICT third-party risk.

Ensure ICT service providers meet DORA resilience standards.

Collaborate with IT, Risk, and Compliance to:

Assist in mapping ICT third-party dependencies.

Maintain the DORA Register of Information covering all ICT third-party arrangements and prepare it for submission to the Central Bank of Ireland.
3. Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with all functions within the business to embed and operate Third-Party Risk Management.

Prepare documentation for governance committees (Outsourcing Committee / Risk Committee).
Key Requirements / Skills & Experience
Essential:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk, Compliance, or related field.
-
4–6 years’ experience in vendor management, outsourcing oversight, or third-party risk.
-
Risk or compliance exposure highly advantageous.
-
Demonstrated experience in process or procedural improvement within a regulated environment.

Regulatory awareness and governance mindset to include EIOPA Outsourcing guidelines, DORA and GPDPR.

Excellent stakeholder management skills.

Analytical with strong risk assessment capability.
Desirable:
-
Experience in ICT vendor management.
-
Familiarity with operational resilience frameworks.

Experience supporting CBI regulatory inspections.

Awareness of EU AI Act obligations relating to third-party or vendor-supplied AI systems.
