Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our Planning & Controlling Team. As a key player in our company, you will leverage your financial expertise to drive strategic insights and decision-making, helping us enhance business performance and achieve our corporate objectives.
The Planning & Controlling team sits within Finance Department, and is responsible for steering Allianz’s financial performance in Greece. As such, we are a key business partner to senior stakeholders including Board members such as CEO and CFO and our Group headquarters in Munich.
The job holder will be responsible for collecting and analyzing all the necessary information to produce all the required material, based on a given schedule. This person will support the provision of financial information informed decision making, the establishment of the annual financial budgets and targets, as well as the update of the monthly forecast based on external and internal factors. The role assists the Finance Manager – Planning & Controlling, in the day-to-day tasks, while ensuring the quality of data, reports and presentations.
The role reports to Finance Manager – Planning & Controlling.
What you will do
- Participate in the preparation of monthly results; Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, providing insights into variances and trends. Offer recommendations for improvement and prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management
- Manage and update the business reporting system through standard reporting templates allowing to follow up, both financial and non-financial events, through common KPIs
- Support the process of annual budget and three-year plan budget
- Contribute to the preparation of all material submitted to top management and secures high quality of the financial data
- Ensure accurate follow-up of monthly reporting of the business
- Control and finalize any reporting to the company Group
- Collect and analyze data related to customer information, contracts, HR, investments and Solvency
- Support generation and distribution of ad-hoc reports and presentations, as requested by internal clients
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Actuarial, Risk or other relevant discipline. Master’s degree is considered an asset
- 2-5 years of experience in Finance Planning and Reporting, preferably in the Insurance industry
- Advanced computer literacy, especially MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
- Strong analytical/numerical skills and attention to detail
- Organizational skills and results-oriented mindset, with ability to deliver on deadlines
- Collaboration and team spirit
- Experience of IFRS17 is considered an asset
- Field related certifications are considered an asset
- Programming knowledge is considered an asset (e.g. Power BI, SQL)
