Role Description

 

The Commercial Financial Business Partner team is responsible for supporting the Commercial business in all aspects of Finance; this includes expense management & budgeting, revenue planning, new business modelling, project support and ad-hoc financial advice.

This position is located in our Guildford office. This is a Hybrid role with expectation of you attending the office twice per week.

 

Salary Information

 

Circa 60k Per annum

 

Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

 

About You

 

  • Ownership of various monthly revenue & expense reporting and forecasting processes, including the subsequent communication to key stakeholders;
  • Playing a key role in the annual expense budgeting process;
  • Working with the Commercial business to model new broker opportunities;
  • Broker override and profit share calculations;
  • Business performance and results evaluation and reporting;
  • Dealing with ad-hoc queries and requests from across the business; and
  • Corporate projects & initiatives

 

Essential Skills

 

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • A good working knowledge of management accounting techniques
  • Proven record of providing advice & support to senior stakeholders
  • Experience of working with colleagues from non-finance areas of a business
  • Advanced Excel skills; comfortable dealing with large volumes of data and experience of automating & improving complex numerical models
  • Well-developed ability to see the 'big picture' across the business
  • Ability to interact and collaborate credibly at all levels in the organisation, including at senior management level
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, positive and innovative with the ability to use initiative and provide constructive challenge where necessary
  • An ability to work under pressure and to achieve deadlines

Desirable Skills

 

  • An aptitude for systems work is desirable
  • Degree in relevant subject (Maths, Economics, Finance) would be beneficial but is not essential
  • Some existing knowledge of Insurance would be beneficial but is not essential
