Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounts Technician to join the business on a 12 Month FTC.

This role is based in our Guildford Office. This is a Hybrid role with expectations of being on site 2 to 3 days per week, please note that occasional travel may be required.
Salary Information
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Financial Subject Matter Expertise: Leverages deep knowledge of financial controls, payments, and collections at the subledger level to guide the project team. Provides strategic insight that ensures all deliverables are accurate, compliant, and aligned with organisational standards.
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Acts as a key guardian of data integrity, reviewing financial information with a control-focused lens. Conducts thorough checks, validation exercises, and quality testing to ensure outputs meet the highest standards.
- Analytical & Testing Excellence: Applies strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to identify anomalies, distinguish accurate financial data from errors, and ensure the reliability of all finance-related testing activities.
- Requirements Shaping: Partners closely with Finance BAU teams to define, refine, and translate complex financial requirements into clear, actionable elements that support successful project outcomes.
- Risk Identification & Mitigation: Proactively assesses potential financial risks and impacts on the ledger or downstream processes. Recommends effective mitigation strategies to safeguard financial integrity and operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serves as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, delivering clear updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring alignment across business and project teams. Builds confidence through transparent and effective communication.
- Driving Continuous Improvement: Champions enhancements to financial processes, tools, and practices. Identifies opportunities for innovation and operational optimisation that strengthen project delivery and long-term performance.
- Progress Evaluation & Feedback: Provides thoughtful, constructive feedback throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables stay on track and align with business objectives, quality expectations, and control requirements.
- Solution Design Collaboration: Brings financial expertise to solution design discussions, advising on feasibility, control implications, and business impact. Ensures all proposed solutions are robust, practical, and fit for purpose.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Supports the capability-building of project team members by explaining complex financial concepts in accessible ways. Contributes to the creation of training materials and documentation to strengthen team readiness and understanding.
Essential Skills
- Part-Qualified (ACCA, CIMA) or AAT
- Extensive Finance experience
- SAP experience
- Project / transformation experience
- Project management experience
