Senior Customer Analytics Product Owner

Allianz are looking for a Senior Customer Analytics Product Owner to join our team in Guildford or London on a hybrid basis. (1-2 days per week)
This role will be accountable for maximizing the value delivered by the Customer Analytics team by setting direction, shaping priorities, and ensuring timely delivery of analytics products and capabilities that support decision-making and enhance business operations
You will act as the voice of business stakeholders and end-users of analytics, translating strategic objectives into a clear product vision and an actionable roadmap across the analytics lifecycle—from data wrangling and preparation through exploration/experimentation, predictive modelling, and deployment into production.

About You
Stakeholder Management
- Act as Product Owner for Customer Analytics squads, clearly communicating value and regularly showcasing progress.
- Partner with business teams to shape and prioritise high‑impact analytics use cases that drive better decisions and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, data scientists, security, and privacy teams to deliver compliant, production‑ready solutions.
PI Planning & Backlog Management
- Ensure analytics deliverables align to strategic objectives, portfolios, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead roadmap input, user story definition, and backlog prioritisation, ensuring work is sprint‑ready.
- Provide clarity on scope, dependencies, and acceptance criteria to enable accurate planning and delivery.
Delivery Governance (Sprint Execution)
- Own the definition of Done, ensuring quality, controls, documentation, and testing standards are met.
- Work with the Scrum Master to manage risks, blockers, and dependencies and keep delivery on track.
- Ensure analytics and models are operationally ready, with monitoring, alerting, and smooth handover to support.
Decision‑Making & Escalation
- Sign off delivered work, ensuring it meets acceptance criteria and delivers real stakeholder value.
- Make timely day‑to‑day decisions and trade‑offs to balance speed, robustness, and insight quality.
- Escalate issues early to maintain momentum and alignment across teams and programmes.
Essential Skills
We don't expect you to know everything from day one, but the following will enable you to hit the ground running:
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate between business goals and technical delivery, and to influence stakeholders with clarity and credibility.
- Strong product mindset, with experience prioritising for value, managing trade-offs, and driving outcomes through a well-managed backlog.
- Comfortable working with cross-functional analytics teams (analytics engineering, data science, and MLOps) and facilitating collaboration through ambiguity.
- Pragmatic and delivery-focused, with a risk-based approach to decision-making and a strong bias to measurable business impact.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery, with experience using frameworks such as Scrum and/or Kanban and supporting tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Commitment to quality, control, and compliance in data handling, ensuring appropriate technical and organisational measures are applied across the analytics lifecycle.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working within a general insurance environment, ideally within commercial lines.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage
