Role Description

 

We have an excellent opportunity to join the Indirect Supplier Management team as a Supplier Performance Manager to oversee supplier performance across our retained IT, digital, distribution and intragroup supply chain.

 

This is a key role within the supplier management function, responsible for maximising the value delivered by our partners. The role ensures the day-to-day performance of suppliers meets expectations and contractual requirements, while also proactively driving forward service improvements, innovation, value add and operational efficiency.

 

Working closely with Procurement, Business Owners, and Senior Category Mangers, this role will foster strong supplier relationships and ensure the right governance and performance mechanisms are in place to mitigate risk, drive value, and enhance service delivery across the operational supply base.

 

This role can be based from any of our UK offices, but you will be expected to be in the office up to 3 days a month.

 

You will be required to travel to supplier sites as required.

 

Salary Information

 

Pay: Circa £55,000 per annum. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

 

About You

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the performance management of suppliers within the retained IT, digital, distribution & Intragroup category, ensuring delivery against contractual KPIs, SLAs, and business expectations.
  • Monitor, track, and report supplier performance, identifying issues, assessing root causes, and ensuring timely resolution and improvement planning.
  • Drive value and innovation from key intra-group supplier relationships, ensuring adequate management of the relationship itself as well as the appropriate management of the key subcontractors in line with the Group Outsourcing Policy, UK regulations and Allianz Holdings Board’s expectations.
  • Manage key intra-group supplier performance through the adherence to SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) as well as appropriate incident management, in collaboration with contract owners/ business stakeholders.
  • Manage operational risk and governance, including performance reviews, incident tracking, and business continuity planning in partnership with the wider business.
  • Build strong working relationships with key suppliers, enabling collaborative engagement and structured review cycles focused on value, performance, and innovation and sustainability outcomes.
  • Support implementation and exit processes for operational suppliers, ensuring appropriate controls, systems, and transition planning are in place.
  • Identify and deliver value-added initiatives, including cost savings, service enhancements, ESG improvements, and technology or automation opportunities.
  • Embed supplier improvement plans and continuous improvement programmes, ensuring actions are closed and documented with measurable outcomes.
  • Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring the business receives consistent and high-performing service from our third parties.
  • Work with Procurement and Group teams to align supplier performance objectives and contribute to cross-category improvement initiatives.

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Strong background in supplier relationship or performance management, within IT and digital categories.
  • In-depth understanding of supplier treatment frameworks, supplier governance, and issue resolution processes.
  • Proven experience working cross-functionally with Procurement, Operational teams, and third-party suppliers.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with experience in reporting, performance tracking, and data-led decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage both supplier and stakeholder relationships at varying levels.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across a matrixed organisation.
  • Experience managing contract performance, improvement plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Comfortable managing multiple categories or workstreams in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment.
