Business Development Associate

Purpose:
This is a hunting role profile with potential client targets in Banks, NBFCs and Fintechs, Insurers and Insure techs, Telecom, Retail and Utilities and Digital Platforms. Your focus client segment will be financial services. It’s an individual contributor role with the key task of New Business Development by building partnerships and alliances. The right candidate is expected to create a pipeline of qualified leads with key stakeholders, understand and communicate the prospect’s requirement, collaborate with internal stakeholders in product, underwriting, operations, tech and finance to build solutions, submit proposals including responding to tenders, negotiate and win.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand, communicate and act in line with the Strategic Agenda of the organization
- Identify, map and target new B-Partners and customer segments in accordance with the Allianz Simplicity Products
- Identify senior and relevant stakeholders at prospective B-Partners, create engaging business conversations.
- Influence key external stakeholders to position Allianz as the right partner
- Build and develop a robust pipeline which is efficient in size, traction, conversions and aids forecast Comply with the sales governance framework including pipeline management via Salesforce
- Generate prospect leads and qualify them for building proposals.
- Understand and communicate B-Partner requirements, winning themes and power maps to internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate, build and effectively communicate proposals that bring value for prospect B -Partners and their Customers
- Own the business opportunity and orchestrate the support needed to win the deal.
- Implement won deals including contracting and supporting operational, financial and IT set up.
- Meet revenue and business targets.
Key Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills including written, oral and presentation skills.
- Overall, of 15+ years of experience in insurance sales.
- Successful track record in new business development of partnerships and alliances (> 1mn euros)
- Good knowledge of insurance, affinity models, regulation and market dynamics, along with strong command of strategy, segmentation and commercial value drivers.
- Strong strategic thinking, stakeholder management, negotiation, storytelling and data led decision making.
- Strong analytical skills, deal ownership and AI readiness are essential.
