INJURY MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR – PERSONAL INJURY – HOBART, TAS (10-MONTH MATERNITY LEAVE COVER)

About the role
- Guiding and coaching claim teams to ensure claims are managed cost effectively within the framework of the legislation to optimise financial results and return to work outcomes
- Ensuring the local Injury Management Program is up to date and employees are compliant in the application of the program
- Monitoring and reporting on key injury management, return to work, and workplace rehabilitation provider KPI's and trends
- Building and proactively influence relationships with rehabilitation providers in support of Allianz’s strategic direction
- Ensuring service issues / complaints are effectively resolved in compliance with internal / external policy and procedure
- Monitoring injury management workflows to ensure timely decision making whilst meeting quality standards within required timeframes
About you
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant allied health field
- A Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management (FNS42120) or a Diploma of Personal Injury and Disability Insurance Management (FNS51920)
- Experience in injury management relating to occupational rehabilitation, clinical care, claims management and/or return to work
- Ability to identify opportunities to review, develop, and modify injury management claims processes, procedures, standards, and guidelines in line with medically based research findings that support innovation, improved performance and an improved customer experience
- Knowledge of privately underwritten workers compensation environment
- Understanding of relevant regulatory, and/or legislative compliance requirements that impact the organisation
- Ability to recognise, avert, manage, and escalate conflicts to enable effective and timely resolution in accordance with organisational processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; capable of communicating with key stakeholders with empathy, clarity and influence
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships internally and externally with customers, stakeholders and service providers
- Ability to provide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding early intervention claims management strategy
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
