Allianz Engineering Inspection Services is looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer Surveyor specialising in Electrical & Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) to join our growing team.

Role Description
As an Engineer Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, testing, and reporting on a wide range of electrical systems and LEV equipment, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and industry best practices
- Carry out inspections of electrical plant and LEV systems in accordance with relevant legislation and standards
- Carry out the Periodic Inspection & Test and complete the EICR for all types of Industrial & Commercial installations such as Offices, Factories, Quarries and their associated Electrical apparatus.
- As well as examination of LEV plant including air movers (fans), ducting, hoods, and filtration systems to control fumes, dust and mists created by both industrial and commercial processes
- Produce clear, accurate reports and certification
- Identify defects and provide practical, safety driven recommendations
- Build strong relationships with customers, offering technical guidance and support
- Ensure all activities meet Allianz quality, safety, and compliance standards
Salary Information
Pay: Starting salary £45,539 per year. + Company car
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Up to date on your knowledge and understanding of all relevant Compliance and Regulatory rules and procedures that relate to the Electrical / LEV discipline.
- Effective at short, medium and long-term planning, in order to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
- Able to travel effectively within their local allocated work area.
- Able to process documentation, as well as undertaking general administration.
- A good team player, for example deputising for fellow Engineer Surveyors (of own discipline) as and when required.
Essential Skills
- Practical background in low voltage wiring installation, inspection or maintenance and fault finding. This would include factories, houses, shops etc.
- Successful candidates are required to hold a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and holds a BS7671:2018 (18th Edition), C&G2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
- Awareness of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems and an understanding of the COSHH Regulations
- UK Driver’s License.
- Aptitude and understanding of the need for planning and an ability to prioritise your own workload.
- Strong customer interaction skills are essential, including good oral and written communication skills.
