Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Allianz Engineering Inspection Services as a Pressure Engineer Surveyor. As part of Allianz, one of the world's leading insurance and risk management organisations, you'll join a nationwide network of over 700 engineering inspection professionals, helping customers operate safely, manage risk and meet their legal obligations.

As a Pressure Engineer Surveyor, you'll visit a wide range of customer sites, carrying out statutory inspections on pressure systems and associated plant, including boilers, pressure vessels, steam systems, compressed air equipment and other pressure-containing systems. Using your engineering knowledge and practical experience, you'll help customers manage risk, maintain safe operations and meet their legal obligations.
You'll work independently across your allocated area, building trusted relationships with customers while managing your own inspection schedule and workload. You'll also be supported by an experienced team of Engineer Surveyors and Team Leaders, with access to ongoing technical development and our industry-leading induction and training programme.
The role is hands-on and varied, involving inspections across a range of industrial and commercial environments, including manufacturing facilities, warehouses, process plants and other customer sites.
Salary Information
Pay: Starting from £45,539 per year + Company Car
Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

Essential Skills
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in a mechanical engineering-related discipline.
- Practical engineering experience working with pressure systems and associated plant, such as boilers, pressure vessels, steam systems, compressed air equipment, process plant or similar pressure-containing systems.
- Experience gained within maintenance, repair, servicing, manufacturing, operation, installation, testing or inspection environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Effective organisational and time-management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and digital reporting systems.

Desirable Skills
- Previous experience working as an Engineer Surveyor.
- Knowledge of the Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR) and associated industry standards.
- Experience carrying out statutory inspections, examinations or compliance assessments.
- Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status, or working towards professional registration.
- Experience across a broad range of pressure systems and industrial plant.
- Understanding of steam generation, compressed air systems and process engineering environments.
- Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
