About the role

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Commercial Property Claims team by assessing individual strengths, addressing development areas, and enhancing overall team effectiveness.
  • Lead and optimise team performance to achieve financial year targets across Volume, Quality, Cost, Customer, and Timeliness metrics, while identifying and articulating key performance drivers to Senior Management.
  • Maintain robust operational governance, processes, and procedures for internally assessed claims, while proactively identifying business improvement opportunities aligned with AAL Strategic Priorities.
  • Collaborate and influence cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for internally assessed claims, leveraging existing team capability and strategic recruitment initiatives.
  • Own risk incidents and mitigation strategies, ensuring strong adherence to the Code of Practice, including effective complaint management and regulatory compliance.

 

About you

  • Significant experience in customer service roles, with proven people leadership experience managing remote teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in achieving strategic objectives and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in team environments and successfully influence outcomes beyond direct authority.
  • Excellent planning and prioritisation skills, with the ability to organise tasks, manage competing demands, and allocate resources effectively.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability, including the ability to interpret complex data, identify patterns and trends, extract meaningful insights, and demonstrate technical proficiency across systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools.
  • A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
