What do we expect you to bring?
• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Actuarial Sciences, Industrial Engineering, or related analytical fields (a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Health Informatics or Data Science is highly preferred).
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in data science, healthcare analytics, or insurance analytics (specifically claims or pricing analytics).
• Advanced proficiency in Python or R, and strong experience in querying and manipulating large datasets using SQL.
• Proven experience in designing advanced dashboards using visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikSense.
• Hands-on experience ("hands-on delivery") in machine learning, predictive modeling, and preferably Generative AI (GenAI) / LLM integration projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to commercially interpret complex medical data structures, diagnostic codes (such as ICD), and claims trends.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate data-driven insights into simple, clear, and actionable concepts for non-technical stakeholders (such as portfolio managers and corporate account teams)
- Having knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) development, Data Analytics, Data Intelligence, AI/Data Strategy, and ChatGPT.
How can you make an impact?
• Ad-hoc Analytics & Dashboarding: Perform ad-hoc analyses on healthcare data, build dynamic dashboards, and extract actionable health-related insights (e.g., analyzing which age groups exhibit an increase in lung diseases and visualizing the findings).
• Claims Trend Interpretation: Act as a Data Scientist in health insurance and claims analytics to interpret claims trends, detect anomalies, and provide strategic action recommendations to portfolio managers (e.g., identifying that "cardiology claims costs are exceptionally high at Hospital X, requiring further investigation").
• Healthcare Data-Driven Model Development: Conduct specialized analyses for corporate and individual health business units; develop predictive models to be utilized in group health policy pricing, underwriting, and risk assessment workflows.
• GenAI & AI Projects: Leverage Generative AI (GenAI) and advanced AI techniques to extract meaningful patterns from complex healthcare datasets and construct models to predict potential disease progression.
• Predictive Modeling: Develop forecasting models to anticipate long-term healthcare shifts and medical risks (e.g., delivering predictive insights such as "a patient with this specific condition may have a higher risk of developing a secondary illness within the next 5 years").
