IT Senior Specialist - Economics & Supplier Management

Job Purpose
The IT Senior Specialist – Economics & Supplier Management will be responsible for controlling the IT budget with respect to Change and Run activities, overseeing relationships with service providers, and ensuring compliance with contractual frameworks and service level agreements. The role reports to the CIO and requires close collaboration with the Finance function, as well as reporting to respective Group Functions.

What you will do

• Track IT Budget over Business Applications
• Support spend tracking on IT Projects 
• Ensure close collaboration with Finance Function
• Report to respective Group Functions
• Develop recommendations for agreed financial targets, according to existing contracts
• Create and provide financial analysis, reports and dashboards for various stakeholders
• Evaluate, develop, coordinate and support the preparation of financial accounts
• Contribute, establish and develop local methods and processes for controlling the IT Budget
• Support and challenge business representatives based on financial analysis
• Maintain a register of all Service Providers
• Support the Business Owner in overseeing the relationship with the Service Provider
• Support the Business Owner in assessing the performance of the Service Provider
• Check Service Provider conformity with respect to legal and external regulatory requirements
• Support the Business Owner in choosing appropriate Service Levels
• Support the Business Owner to fulfil relevant documentation obligations with respect to Outsourcing in the sense of Group Outsourcing Policy
• Support the contracting process both for new contracts and renewals.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology or relevant discipline. Master’s degree is a plus
• 5 years of minimum experience in IT Financial Management, IT Controlling, Budget Management within an IT Organization, or other related roles
• Experience in a similar role in the Financial Services Sector or the Insurance Sector is an asset
• Excellent command of Greek and English language (both oral and written)
• Strong understanding of IT budget structures, including change (projects/transformation) and Run (operations/BAU) cost models
• Experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ideally with exposure to IT cost models and service-based costing
• Good knowledge of contract management, supplier governance, and service-level agreements (SLAs) in the IT context
• Familiarity with outsourcing frameworks, compliance requirements, and relevant regulatory obligations affecting IT services
• Effective communication skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across all levels
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex issues
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
