Java Developer
You will:
- Develop and enhance Java/Spring Boot applications that power a new development environment for ABS batch programs, moving development from the mainframe to a modern Git/GitHub and Eclipse-based workflow.
- Extend existing Spring Boot services that read data from the mainframe, synchronize with GitHub, and integrate with pull requests.
- Build new REST-based quality-check services (e.g., name validation, permission checks, compilation checks) that can be consumed by various tools such as our pull-request management system and Eclipse.
- Integrate the pull-request process with newly developed services, including:
- Quality-check services
- Patch file service for stage management (DEV, ATE, ATA, PROD)
- JFrog Artifactory for build and deploy automation
- Internal Tool - Lifetime for functional staging management
- Implement automation for release processes, including forking and creating release branches.
- Develop processes to move programs across repositories, ensuring uniqueness and supporting organizational transitions.
- Work with REST interfaces to connect with Git, GitHub APIs, and multiple ecosystem tools.
- Collaborate closely with a global team to design and implement robust development workflows for the “new world” of ABS-Batch development.
- Focus primarily on building new features, tools, and services—this is a developer role, not a maintenance role.

Your skills:
Must-have:
- Strong experience in Java and Spring Boot application development
- Solid knowledge of Git & GitHub, including working with GitHub APIs
- Experience developing and consuming REST services
Optional (nice to have):
- Jenkins
- SQL / DB2
- Artifactory

- Having a basic understanding or exposure to AI tools would be a plus.
- Familiarity with basic AI tools is considered an advantage.
- Basic knowledge or experience with AI tools will be beneficial.
- Exposure to AI tools, even at a basic level, is a value-add.
- A fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit.
