Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Underwrite profitable business to meet overall performance targets. 

• Structure customized solutions in line with the team's underwriting guidelines and underwriting policy for clients and brokers. 

• Negotiate participation, pricing, and terms with brokers to ensure competitive and profitable outcomes. 

• Ensure contract certainty is achieved at inception for all accounts. 

• Utilize global pricing tools to maintain consistency and accuracy in underwriting. 

• Proactively manage capacity to support business growth while mitigating risks. 

• Ensure underwriting compliance with governance frameworks, including authorities, guidelines, and rules.  

• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and key stakeholders while acquisition of new business. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Ideally, initial experience in underwriting, operations, or claims – for example, through internships, working student positions, a dual study program, or vocational training. 

• Basic understanding of the local insurance market and competitor landscape. 

• Approachable, at ease creating and maintaining relationships both inside the company and with brokers. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills paired with business acumen.  

• Strong analytical skills for absorbing and examining data in detail, drawing appropriate conclusions. 

• Pro-active and positive attitude to team work, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities. 

• Ability to work in a complex, global matrix organization. 

• A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected. 

• Fluent German and English language skills.
