Claims Executive - Travel Insurance (Mandarin Speaking)

Join Allianz Partners and support travellers when they need it most. As a Travel Claims Executive at Allianz Partners Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur, you will evaluate and process claims for medical expenses, emergency medical evacuations, and other health-related incidents during travel. You will work with customers and partners across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Hong Kong — handling cases in Mandarin and English — where clear, empathetic communication and sound judgement are key.
This is a full-time, permanent hybrid role based at UOA Centre, KLCC, working Monday to Friday. No medical background is required — full training is provided. If you are a fresh graduate with strong motivation and a desire to grow, we would love to hear from you.
What You'll Do

Manage end-to-end travel medical claims from notification and registration through to closure

Assess and process claims within policy terms, authority limits, and service benchmarks (TAT/SLA)

Review documentation including Chinese-language medical reports, calculate benefits, initiate payments, and prepare clear claim decision letters

Follow Claims Best Practices and regulatory requirements — ensuring accurate assessment, timely reserving, prompt notification of large losses, and complete system documentation

Monitor claim progress, maintain accurate reserves, and facilitate finance rebilling

Respond promptly to feedback, inquiries, and complaints via established processes

Liaise with healthcare providers, policyholders, and insurance partners — conducting calls and written communications in English and Mandarin

Work effectively with AI-powered tools, digital case management systems, and data analytics platforms, using insights responsibly in line with Allianz's data governance and ethical use standards

Contribute to team projects and ad-hoc tasks, supporting teammates to keep operations running smoothly
What You'll Bring

Minimum Diploma or Degree in any field — no medical background required

1–2 years of experience in claims, customer service, customer-facing roles, customer relationship management, administration, or coordination is an advantage — fresh graduates with strong motivation and a growth mindset are warmly welcome

Background in insurance, travel assistance, financial services, or KYC is a plus but not essential — full training will be provided

Fluent in English and Mandarin — both spoken and written — mandatory for this role

Cantonese proficiency is a bonus but not required

Inquisitive by nature with strong attention to detail and a drive to understand the full picture behind every case

Decisive and able to turn sound judgement into clear, timely action with minimal rework

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working across multiple systems and documentation platforms
