Clinical Team Lead - Medical Services & Case Management (KL-based)

As Team Leader, you’ll lead a multidisciplinary team based across Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia—ensuring our international members receive the right care safely, on time, and cost‑effectively, 24/7 across APAC. Based in KL, you’ll blend clinical judgment with operational excellence to protect outcomes, experience, and value.

What you’ll do
- Run day-to-day operations and KPIs (SLA, quality, cost containment, productivity) for a distributed team.
- Oversee Treatment Guarantees, pre-authorizations, and clinical adjudication to ensure safe, medically appropriate, and cost‑effective outcomes.
- Own workforce planning and rostering across locations in a 7‑day operation, aligning capacity to demand.
- Coach, QA, and upskill advisors; lead onboarding, calibration, and continuous training with clear performance feedback.
- Act as escalation point for complex/high‑cost cases (including potential fraud) and drive value‑based negotiations with providers.
- Partner with Care Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Actuarial, and Medical Provider Management to standardize playbooks and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement: root‑cause issues, streamline processes and systems (with IT), and implement corrective actions.
- Safeguard team wellbeing and ensure compliance, data privacy, and clinical governance standards.
What you bring
- Licensed healthcare professional (RN/MD/Psych/allied health) with 5+ years’ clinical experience; health insurance/assistance or managed care experience is a plus.
- 2+ years’ people leadership in healthcare operations; multi‑site or distributed team experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, negotiation with providers, and stakeholder management skills.
- Data‑driven operator; proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel); experience with case/claims platforms advantageous.
- Fluent English; Mandarin/Cantonese a plus. Eligible to work in Malaysia.

Working pattern and location
- KLCC office (AWP SERVICES SDN BHD). Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days WFH after probation period.
- 5 days/week within a 07:00–22:00 roster. Typically four weekday office‑hour days (Mon–Fri, 09:00–18:00) and one late shift weekly.
- Rotate early/late, weekend, and public holiday shifts as needed. Two consecutive days off per roster. No regular travel.
