Travel & Medical Claims Executive (English & Mandarin)

About the role
Join Allianz Partners and support travelers when they need it most. As a Travel Medical Claims Executive, you’ll evaluate and process claims for medical expenses, emergency medical evacuations, and other health-related incidents during travel. You’ll work with customers and partners across Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia—handling some cases in Mandarin (or Cantonese) and others in English—so clear, empathetic communication and sound judgment are key. Location: UOA Centre, KLCC, Kuala Lumpur
Work pattern: Monday–Friday, 9:00–18:00 (Hybrid)
What you’ll do
- Manage end-to-end travel medical claims from notification/registration through to closure.
- Assess and process claims within policy terms, authority limits, and service benchmarks (TAT/SLA).
- Review documentation (including Chinese medical reports), calculate benefits, initiate payments, and prepare clear claim decision letters.
- Follow Claims Best Practices and regulatory requirements: accurate assessment, timely reserving and follow-up, prompt notification of large losses, and complete system documentation.
- Monitor claim progress, maintain accurate reserves, and facilitate finance rebilling.
- Respond promptly to feedback, inquiries, and complaints via established processes.
- Liaise with healthcare providers, policyholders, and insurance partners—conducting calls and written communications in English and Mandarin (or Cantonese) .
- Contribute to team projects and ad-hoc tasks; support teammates to keep operations running smoothly.
What you bring
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in any field.
- 1–2 years of medical claim assessment experience preferred; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Advantageous backgrounds include insurance, medical, or travel assistance.
- Language: Fluent English and confident Mandarin or Cantonese (spoken and written). You’ll regularly use Mandarin (or Cantonese) for customer/provider interactions and to read medical documentation. Other Asian languages are a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; comfortable working across systems and documentation.
- Decisive, detail-oriented, and able to turn decisions into action.
- A collaborative team player who treats colleagues with care and respect.
