As Travel Medical Claims at Allianz Partners in Kuala Lumpur, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing travel claims relating to medical expenses, emergency medical evacuations, and other health-related incidents occurring during travel, for insurance partners in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and other countries. This is a full-time, permanent role where your attention to detail, sound judgement, and commitment to service quality will make a real difference to customers when they need support most.

 

What You'll Do

  • Handle the entire travel medical assistance claim process from notification and registration through to closure, ensuring thorough and efficient management
  • Process and review claims within the terms and conditions of coverage and within specified authority limits and benchmarks (TATs/SLA)
  • Resolve medical and non-medical claims by reviewing documentation, calculating benefits due, initiating payments, and composing claim decision letters
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and adhere to Claims Best Practices guidelines to ensure accuracy in claims assessment, timely reserving and follow-up with customers, timely notification of large losses, accuracy in data entry, and proper documentation in the system
  • Monitor the progress of medical claims, keep track of reserves, and facilitate the finance rebilling process
  • Respond to customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints promptly, providing resolutions through established processes
  • Work with healthcare providers, policyholders, and insurance partners to gather information and communicate claim decisions clearly
  • Participate in team projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned
  • Promote positive teamwork and collaboration by supporting other team members as and when required

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum Diploma or Degree in a medical-related field
  • Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience in medical claim assessment — fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Background in insurance, medical, or travel is an added advantage
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to converse in Mandarin and Cantonese is an added advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to make decisions swiftly and put decisions into practical use
  • Works well within a team environment, treating all team members with care and respect and assisting colleagues as needed
