Job Summary

Responsible for the steering and execution of data and AI governance across Allianz Malaysia. This will include the oversight and continued implementation of the Allianz Standard of Information & Document Management. The role will also include project management of some of the key initiatives and projects in the Data & AI team as assigned by the Supervisor and Head of Department.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, or assist in the development and implementation of, Data & AI governance frameworks, including the localisation of regulatory and governance requirements issued by Bank Negara Malaysia and Allianz Group.
  • Ensure Allianz Malaysia’s compliance with applicable Data & AI governance and regulatory frameworks in accordance with established timelines and requirements.
  • Plan, organise, coordinate, and monitor key Data & AI projects and programmes to ensure effective delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Support communication and awareness initiatives across the organisation to reinforce the importance of Data & AI Governance and the Allianz Standard of Information & Document Management (ASIDM).
  • Conduct company wide or targeted monitoring and quality assurance (QA) reviews, including tests of design and tests of effectiveness, to assess compliance with Data & AI Governance and ASIDM.
  • Prepare clear and timely reports outlining review results, key observations, and recommendations, as well as updates on significant activities conducted or planned.
  • Escalate potential issues, risks, and exception items identified during reviews or monitoring activities to management in a timely manner.
  • Identify control gaps and provide advice to management on appropriate remediation plans and follow up actions.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned by the Supervisor and Head of Department.

 

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related or similar field is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Project management and/or AI and Data Governance experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and senior management across the organisation
