Assistant Manager, Financial Lines Underwriter

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Financial Lines Specialist Underwriter to join our team. This role requires an individual with a 2 year foundational understanding of Liability insurance products and a strong desire to deepen their expertise in financial lines. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and analytical capabilities to effectively support and optimize business development and underwriting placements.

You'll be responsible for:

• Underwriting new and renewal of Financial Lines classes within the mandate.
• Provide technical assistance to branches and agents.
• To conduct Financial Lines’ products training to branches and agents including account targeting.
• Build and maintain relationship with producers, developing new business opportunity.
• Assist in analyze Financial Lines portfolio and developing plan and strategy to steer growth.

Important to your success:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Liability and/ or Financial Lines product underwriting.
• Self-motivated and proactive with a strong drive for success.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Adaptable and open to change in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data.
• Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot is an added advantage.
