Claims Examiner - Liability Claims

Job Summary

To conduct comprehensive assessment, investigation and management of Liability Claims, including coverage determination, liability evaluation, negotiations, recovery actions and settlement of claims, whilst ensuring fair outcomes, cost effectiveness and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage Liability Claims by reviewing relevant claim documentation, determining policy coverage and evaluating liability exposure.
• Conduct investigations and work closely with adjusters, solicitors, medical specialists and other service providers to facilitate claim resolution.
• Negotiate with claimants, solicitors and other stakeholders to achieve fair, timely and cost-effective claim settlements.
• Manage recovery and subrogation opportunities to mitigate claim costs where applicable.
• Handle claim enquiries and collaborate with customers, agents, brokers and internal stakeholders to ensure effective claims management and service delivery.
• Support process improvement, digitalisation and system enhancement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Insurance, Law, Business, Finance or related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior exposure to insurance, claims, legal practice, or related fields would be an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of insurance principles and policy coverage interpretation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as within a team
• Familiar with the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for tasks simplification
