As the Operations Manager in the Claims Division, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight in all areas of claim operations. This role involves guiding and developing a high-performing team, managing vendors, and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency, ensure compliance, and promote service excellence. Your primary focus will be on achieving efficient operation throughout the Claims Division.

 

 

 

You'll be responsible for:

 

  • Define and implement strategic operations for the Claims Division to ensure efficiency is achieved across the Division’s operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of claims professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance departmental performance by creating strategies to optimize efficiency, manage costs, and strengthen claims governance.
  • Oversee statistical analysis to inform decision-making and strategy development, ensuring data-driven approaches to claims management.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure service quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive transformation through digitalization, automation, and process innovation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, regulators, and external partners to achieve sustainable outcomes.
  • Ensure strong governance, compliance, and ethical standards in all claim’s practices.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support the division’s strategic goals and operational excellence.

 

 

Important to your success:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or operations management, actuarial science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the insurance industry or related fields.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, including experience in statistical analysis.
  • Strong organizational management and skills.
  • Good judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with experience in vendor management.
  • Familiarity with AI tools like ChatGPT or Copilot is an added advantage.
