The Finance Operations Officer is integral to the Finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely delivery of both internal and external regulatory reporting, while maintaining compliance with internal financial control procedures and guidelines.

 

The officer will engage with various global stakeholders and contribute to finance transformation projects as well, including user acceptance testing (UAT) for system improvements and enhancing workflows within the finance operations department.

 

Key Responsibility Areas:

 

· Prepare and post monthly and quarterly journal entries, both technical and non-technical.

· Conduct timely account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.

· Identify and review conspicuous entries, taking necessary actions such as proactive communication with
  stakeholders, error correction, and process improvements.

· Collaborate with Finance teams from affiliated Allianz companies to ensure smooth reconciliations and settlements of
  intercompany transactions.

· Liaise with the IT Technical Team to resolve discrepancies in bookings, GST, and other financial records impacting
  regulatory reporting.

· Execute and fulfill internal and external reporting and audit requirements, providing necessary documentation and
  support.

· Collaborate extensively with multiple functions and stakeholders to drive strategic retail business solutions.

· Support reconciliations and receivable management for reinsurance (Cedants and Reinsurers), working with
  internal/external stakeholders to resolve issues and meet KPIs.

· Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assigned work scopes as needed.

· Perform any other ad-hoc tasks within the Finance department.

 

Capabilities and Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and Finance.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance operations within an insurance company, preferably with exposure to
   Retail or Health Insurance.

· Proficiency in SAP (FICO Module) is advantage.

· Preferred knowledge of reinsurance structures and processes.

· Strong customer focus and proactive problem-solving abilities.

· Expertise in analyzing complex data and processes to identify patterns, root causes, and provide insights and
  solutions.

· Continuous improvement mindset for financial processes and systems.

· Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks independently in a dynamic environment.

· Excellent English communication skills for engaging with global stakeholders.

· Ability to identify and recommend process improvements.

· Competence in navigating ambiguous and complex situations or processes.
