Job Summary
Responsible to achieve company/department goals and objectives by achieving sales target allocated throught assigned brokers. To maintain high level of compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- To generate new business and ensure retention of existing clients and accounts (renewal business) from assigned portfolio/brokers
- Responsible for developing and building strong relationships with assigned brokers to achieve company/department objectives/targets
- Underwrite all cases of business within the given authority limits and liaise with superiors/underwriters on risk retention, where appropriate
- Underwrite, manage and monitor performance of the account/project accepted to ensure profitability of the department
- Manage and conduct on boarding, training and briefing on new products and services to brokers/clients
- To prepare relevant reports and analyzing the reports to ensure that department’s targets and profitability are achieved.
- Manage outstanding premium of accounts and ensure payment made within the stipulated payment terms so that impairment is kept to the absolute minimum
- To improve/ transform the processes of the department for better efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhering to company’s guidelines and its compliance as well as PIAM and other regulatory guidelines
- Maintain proper filling record (including e-filing) for ease of reference.
- Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Supervising Manager.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing,Insurance or related field
- 5 years experience in Insurance Industry
- Strong understanding of insurance products
- Strong analytical and problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve targets/ goals.
- Familiar with the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT for tasks simplification
