Job Summary
The Manager, Data & AI is responsible for delivering high‑quality analytics, BI solutions, AI/ML initiatives, and data products, while ensuring alignment to enterprise‑wide data strategy, governance, and technical standards. The role bridges business needs with technical execution, ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable Data & AI delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce analytical insights for business functions by working with complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and performance drivers. Develop dashboards and visualisations that adhere to enterprise BI standards. Maintain and enhance reporting pipelines in collaboration with AZT.
- Model development, validation, and deployment activities. Support preparation of datasets, feature engineering, analysis, and model monitoring activities. Contribute to AI & automation use cases, including RPA and predictive analytics. Key area of focus will be Agency business.
- Support delivery of data products across business domains, including gathering requirements, mapping data sources, and coordinating enhancements. Ensure data products adhere to governance, quality, and architecture standards
- Implement data governance practices, including lineage, documentation, and adherence to data quality controls.
- Operate as part of a cross‑entity Data & AI team, maintaining consistent standards. Provide business engagement support and serve as a partner to functional teams such as Sales, Claims, Operations, Pricing, product etc. Provide support in the implementation of data related projects (such as ADH/ALEX, ADP, Lighthouse etc.)
- Provide technical guidance, set quality standards, and ensure best practices are followed across analytics, BI, AI/ML, and data engineering activities.
- Plan and allocate work, and ensure timely delivery of analytics, reports, models, and data products
Key Requirements
- 6–10 years’ experience in analytics, BI development, data engineering, data science, or AI‑related roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant disciplines including engineering, actuarial, data analytics or IT, etc.
- Experience leading small teams, coaching junior analysts/engineers, or managing delivery squads is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, data modelling, BI tools (Power BI), and large‑scale data analysis.
- Familiarity with Python and machine learning frameworks is an advantage.
- Understanding of data pipelines, data architecture, and enterprise reporting platforms
- Optional but beneficial: RPA tools, cloud platforms, MLOps concepts.
- Strong problem solving and analytical thinking.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to translate technical outputs for business stakeholders.
- Collaborative and able to work across diverse teams in a federated structure.
- High accountability, adaptability, and willingness to learn
- Familiar with AI tools such as ChatGPT
