As part of Allianz Technology SE´s global Legal and data privacy Function, you will advise the company´s business segment Allianz Services in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on all legal areas (except tax law and labor law) and act as local data privacy officer (DPO). You will provide business-oriented legal advice to enable the Allianz Services business as well as safeguard the interests of the company, to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations and to counsel senior management. Allianz Services is part of Allianz Group, one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers and has succeeded in becoming one individual business segment by combining various businesses from different parent companies. Role Overview 


We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join Allianz Services in Kuala Lumpur and being part of our international Finance and Accounting team. You will oversee the local accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making processes. Bring your sharp analytical mindset and solid accounting expertise to high impact, multi stream work—collaborating with a supportive international team across the globe.  

 

What you will do:

 

  • You will prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • You will manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis. 
  • You will process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, intercompany payments and ensure compliance with SST/ WHT.
  • You will lead the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
  • You will develop and implement accounting procedures to improve the efficiency and accuracy.
  • You will oversee tax-related matters locally, necessary filings ensure tax compliance and act as an interface to Group Tax and Group Accounting. 
  • You will monitor cash flow and cash management.
  • You will strongly collaborate with controlling, support for commercial discussions and financial modeling in diverse teams to support business initiatives and financial projects.
  • You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and industry best practices. 
     

What you bring:

 

  • Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on financial closing, reporting and analysis.
  • Knowledge of  IFRS and local GAAP and experience with financial audits.
  • Fundamental tax  understanding and fundamental knowledge around treasury.
  • Proficiency in accounting software SAP FI and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Structured, analytical, versatile, and resourceful at turning issues into results.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial information.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on mentality and strong collaboration skills between local and international teams.
