Senior Executive, Investment Operations - Finance (Contract)

Job Summary
Responsible for treasury functions and investment accounting, as well as to ensure timely reporting of investment transactions for local statutory and head office reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Support investment operations and treasury activities to ensure all investment transactions are processed, reconciled, and accounted for accurately and within established timelines.
- Manage the end-to-end operational lifecycle of mutual fund investments, including transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Perform valuation, accounting, and financial reporting for investment-linked funds, ensuring compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities for investment portfolios, including journal postings, reconciliations, and preparation of management and regulatory reports.
- Prepare and submit investment-related reports and analyses, while serving as a key point of contact for inquiries from internal stakeholders, fund managers, custodians, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
- Support the preparation of statutory and audited financial statements by coordinating with external auditors and providing timely and accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Investment, Risk, Compliance, and external service providers to ensure smooth execution of investment operations.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation through automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities requested by the Management as and when required.
Key Requirements
- Candidate possesses bachelor’s degree/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy related discipline.
- 2-4 years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting or treasury operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with data analytics, automation tools, Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, or similar solutions is an advantage.
- Familiar with AI tools such as ChatGPT for tasks simplification.
- Good team player, self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
