Job Description: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and pipeline migrations to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in migrating applications from on-premises environments to containerized solutions, transitioning from unmanaged to managed Kubernetes services, and automating migration processes using tools like Crossplane and Terraform. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with various teams, including cloud advisory, to provide architectural inputs and share best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute migration projects, transitioning applications from on-premises environments to containerized solutions.
- Migrate applications from one Kubernetes environment to other environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and efficient Kubernetes solutions.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cloud advisory teams to provide inputs for architectural design and decision-making.
- Work closely with customer DevOps teams to share best practices and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and optimize the performance, scalability, and reliability of applications and infrastructure.
- Apply security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data and systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Document processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Understand target architecture preparation, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Recommend appropriate cloud and DevOps tools based on project needs, evaluating technology stack and service selections.
- Participate actively in architectural decision-making, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Kubernetes and pipeline migrations.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes, including AKS and EKS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools like Azure DevOps, and GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Crossplane or Terraform.
- Proficiency in using tools such as Git, GitHub, Nexus, SonarQube, and Jenkins.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including cloud advisory, and provide architectural inputs.
- Cloud operations knowledge, either Azure or AWS.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of security protocols and practices.
- Experience working in agile teams and collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Kubernetes certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer) are preferred.
- A fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit.
