Position Summary

 

This role is responsible for analysing software, systems and programs according to business requirements by learning through experiences and being self-organised while working on a problem. Will also be actively involved in the integration and system testing of developed systems / applications. A member of the DevTeam in the scrum team and will be reporting to the Service Manager - APAC.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Independently develop, define and maintain documentations in an agile scrum team.                              
  • Study and validate user requirement, review and make suggestions to improve IT procedures, standards and/or guidelines.                                                           
  • Deliver business analysis work during every sprint and is heavily involved in solution design, support development and testing extensively.                    
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders and team members across the globe in various time zones and regionally in Asia Pacific.                                         
  • Active participation in sprint planning, daily standup, review, retrospective and demo.

 

Key requirements / skills / experience:

 

  • 3–5 years of IT professional experience, ideally within the financial services sector
  • Advanced business analysis and testing expertise
  • Familiarity with the full SDLC lifecycle (minimum 1–3 years)
  • Intermediate understanding of Agile fundamentals and experience working in a Scrum team
  • Strong general insurance knowledge
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Intercultural awareness and at least 1–3 years of international work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (IT, computer science, business)
  • Professional certifications (preferred)
  • Ability to cover time zones from Japan (8:30am) through to India (18:00pm) and business level English proficiency required
