Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps & Linux expert to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Micro Focus Enterprise Server on Linux platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of Linux systems, experience with enterprise-level software deployment and management, strong DevOps skills, expertise in managing infrastructure on AWS, and proficiency in English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Micro Focus Enterprise Server on Linux systems.
  • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to support enterprise server operations.
  • Strong DevOps skills, including experience with Continuous Integration (CI) und Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines and tools. (Github, Github Actions, ArgoCD and AWX)
  • Proficiency in using Ansible for server configuration management and automation.
  • Proficiency in using Terraform for infrastructure management and automation.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of enterprise servers(Grafana,Prometheus).
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior administrators and other IT staff.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies as needed.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Linux Administrator, with a focus on enterprise-level environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, SUSE, Ubuntu).
  • Experience with Micro Focus Enterprise Server installation and management.
  • Experience managing AWS services and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • Proficiency in using Ansible for server configuration management and automation.
  • Understanding of networking protocols and services (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Skills and Certifications:

  • Certifications such as RHCE (Red Hat Certification), LFCS (Certification from Linux Foundation), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM (Tool for Virtualization))
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of additional configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef)
