IT Technical Expert - Output Management (m/f/d)
Lisboa, 11, PT, 1069-014
Role Purpose
Design, develop, and maintain Allianz Portugal’s Output Management solutions—covering template engineering, document/communication generation services, and integrations with core systems.
As part of our IT team, you will be the subject‑matter expert for Output tools such as OpenText Exstream (or similar CCM solutions) and lead the design, developments and maintenance of our Business documents and communications, as well as support the decommissioning of legacy technologies and continuous search of methods to rationalize template, automate and improve time-to-market.
You will work closely with business analysts, Marketing areas, developers and vendors to secure quality, performance, and regulatory compliance in all customer and operational communications.
As an Output Management Expert, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade customer and operational communication solutions. You will act as the subject‑matter expert for CCM technologies—primarily OpenText Exstream—and drive modernization, template rationalization, and the decommissioning of legacy platforms. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Marketing, Architecture, and vendor teams to ensure high‑quality, compliant, performant, and scalable customer communications across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
1 Template Engineering & Output Development
- Build and refactor templates, rules, and composition flows in Opentext Exstream (or similar CCM), including dynamic sections, conditional content, multilingual variants, and reusable components.
- Maintain and progressively retire or wrap legacy templates and CCM technologies by implementing adapters/migrations, ensuring backward compatibility and clean handovers.
- Implement data mappings, style assets, and page layout logic; optimize heavy/batch artifacts for performance.
- Provide technical direction, review deliverables, and ensure adherence to architectural and quality standards.
- Ensure proper internal documentation of everything that matters around template, mappings, rules, runbooks…
2. Document Generation & Communication Flows
- Manage and optimize the full Output Management lifecycle—from data ingestion and layout logic to rendering and distribution (print, email, digital channels). Manage end‑to‑end Output processes: data ingestion, composition, rendering, quality control, and distribution across PDF, AFP, PCL, email, print, and digital channels.
- Troubleshoot issues across render pipelines, print streams (PDF, AFP, PCL), and integration points with core systems (e.g., policy admin, claims, billing).
- Instrument services with observability (logs/metrics/traces), implement circuit breakers/retries, and harden error handling. Implement observability (logs, metrics, traces), error‑handling patterns, and performance improvements across Output services.
- Support initiatives to modernize Output architecture, ensuring maintainability and scalability.
3. Collaboration and support
- Partner with business analysts, UX/content owners, architects, and vendors; translate user stories into technical tasks and deliver working software. Work closely with Business Analysts, UX/content teams, Architects, and external vendors to translate user stories into technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with external development partners
- Provide L3 support for complex incidents; mentor colleagues on best practices, code quality, and performance tuning.
- Support evaluation of new Output Management solutions (e.g., cloud‑based CCM capabilities).
4. Documentation & Governance
- Maintain detailed technical documentation for templates, mappings, rules engines, and Output processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance
- Support audits, risk assessments, and quality checks related to Output Management processes.
