Insurance Risk and Claims Specialist

As Insurance Risk and Claims Specialist you will identify operational risks across the organization and ensure their external coverage through appropriate insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in Underwriting and Insurance Products.
You’ll own and shape Allianz Partners’ operational insurance coverage from a central position in, influencing risk transfer decisions that protect a global business, while working in an international, collaborative environment with exposure to senior stakeholders and clear opportunities to grow within Allianz’s global legal, risk and insurance community.
Reporting Line: This position reports to the Head of Legal, German speaking markets
Way of working
This position follows a hybrid schedule with 2 days in the office from our office located at Altunizade Mahallesi, Kısıklı Caddesi No: 47, Kat: 3–4 34662 Üsküdar – İstanbul Turkey OR Avenida do Brasil, 56 – 3.º piano 1700‑073 Lisboa,Portugal.
What you will do
- Perform the annual review of insurance coverage and service performance, analyze the results and propose the necessary adaptation of insurance coverage in line with Allianz Partners needs.
- Ensure the implementation of the insurance coverage as per the Allianz Partners Standard and the risk appetite
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of insurance data in reporting systems.
- Manage claims and their resolution through coordination with internal departments and insurers to the extent required.
- Maintain documentation.
- Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics, and cloud‑based tools, using insights responsibly and in alignment with our standards for data governance, security, and ethical use.
What you will Bring
- Bachelors or Masters Degree with 3+ years experience in corporate insurance/risk.
- Project Expert Support / Project Manager Own Risks / Insurance

Professional experience in the insurance industry, including with an insurer, insurance group, broker, or intermediary. Candidates must have prior direct exposure to insurance
- Experience reviewing and implementing insurance coverage per standards and risk appetite.
- Hands-on claims coordination and documentation with insurers and internal teams.
- Advanced Excel; strong reporting accuracy; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management; clear written and verbal English and German.
- Strategic, analytical, and process management skills; deliver under competing deadline
- Qualified candidates must reside within commuting distance of the office locations listed for this role; relocation assistance is not available for this role.
