JOB OVERVIEW

As a member of the Allianz Partners A&R Policy & Governance team, you will support the Head of A&R Policy & Governance in developing and implementation of policies, contributing to the Global Annual Accounting & Reporting Department Training & Governance Plan, and the provision of support on technical accounting queries.

     

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Training & Development: Support technical excellence by contributing to the design, rollout, and delivery of components of the Global Annual Accounting & Reporting Department Training Plan.
  • Strategic & Technical Guidance: Support on general accounting policy queries and contribute in the review of booking schemes for specific topics across Allianz Partners under IFRS.
  • Cross-Functional Projects: Work with other departments to ensure that accounting policies are integrated into broader business processes. This promotes a holistic approach to financial management and decision-making.
  • Risk Management: Assist in development of financial governance processes and testing frameworks to strengthen the financial reporting control environment.
  • Compliance & Standardization: Support in the standardization of global accounting policies including compliance with IFRS, and contribute to the rollout of consistent standards, processes, and reporting templates to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.

 

REQUIREMENTS

To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:

 

  • 5 years+ PQE experience in Insurance, Accounting and Financial services industry or Audit.                                                                                          
  • Hold a third level business degree.
  • Professional qualification with a recognized accounting body (CPA, ACCA, CA, etc.)
  • Strong IFRS Accounting policy knowledge (in particular also IFRS 17/9 or Non-Financial data reporting would be an advantage).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage relationships both internal and external.
  • Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally.
  • Good understanding of Audit and governance frameworks
  • Fluent in English.            
  • Strategic thinking and an automation/IT driven mindset.
  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT and technologies to enhance productivity and drive innovative solutions in daily tasks is essential for this role.
