Role overview
The Information Security Officer (ISO) is a key role within Allianz Services, accountable for the information security posture supporting Allianz businesses in Portugal and Spain. This includes oversight of ISMS activities, security risk identification, assessment, prevention, and remediation — encompassing services delivered by third parties.
The ISO provides strategic advice to regional management and local Allianz Services functions on information security risk areas, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.
What you do:
- Oversee the Information Security function in Portugal and Spain, serving as the central contact for all IS matters across business, partners, customers and safeguarding functions.
- Ensure compliance with Group-wide IS framework, regulatory requirements, and industry standards across all Allianz Services projects and throughout the full-service life cycle, including external parties and outsourcing partners.
- Support local and regional leadership in IS governance requirements, organizational structures and annual compliance reporting.
- Manage security risks by conducting risk assessments, evaluating effectiveness of security controls, addressing policy deviations and developing mitigation strategies.
- Provide IS consulting and stakeholder engagement, liaising with regional/central IS teams, contributing to the global ISO community and promoting security awareness.
- Contribute to third-party management by defining contractual security provisions and ensuring security standards are met by partners and providers.
What you bring:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Extensive IT background with 3+ years of experience in Information Security and/or risk management
- Strong knowledge of IT security technology, architecture, processes, and information security management systems (e.g., ISO 27001), including relevant industry standards, control frameworks and local regulatory requirements
- Professional experience in supplier and third-party management, including Cloud providers and IT outsourcing, with a proven ability to define and monitor contractual information security provisions
- Demonstrated experience in people management and/or project management within complex enterprise environments
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
