Role overview
The Senior Data Privacy Expert ensures organisational compliance with data privacy laws, regulations, and internal policies by advising on existing processes and developing new procedures for privacy programs. This role conducts Privacy Impact Assessments and security risk evaluations, and implements risk-based privacy controls and measures across the organisation and its affiliates. The role also includes regular monitoring and tracking of control effectiveness to maintain a strong data protection posture.
What you do:
- Develop, maintain, and implement data privacy governance systems in line with GDPR, Allianz Privacy Standard (APS), and Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs); provide privacy advice and review supplier/customer contracts
- Handle data subject enquiries (consent withdrawal, right to be forgotten) and consult on personal data incidents including breach notifications and remediation
- Prepare and roll out Allianz Data Privacy trainings and awareness campaigns; track completion rates and support local entities to ensure adequate privacy knowledge
- Maintain Records of Processing Activities in OneTrust; initiate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/TIAs); conduct on-site/off-site data privacy controls and vendor assessments focused on TOMs compliance
- Support the full control lifecycle (analysis, documentation, reporting); monitor and track remediation measures; prepare regular and ad hoc privacy reports to Management
What you bring:
- Master's degree in economics, legal, or similar disciplines; 8+ years of experience in data privacy, risk management, internal control or compliance
- Solid understanding of GDPR, ISO security standards, OneTrust tool functionalities and IT systems in relation to data protection and processing
- Strong analytical thinking; proven experience in risk analysis, controls frameworks, process/control design and re-engineering principles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to convey compliance and governance topics effectively to diverse audiences
- Fluency in English; IAPP certification is a plus; strong sense of initiative, responsibility and awareness of business impact of compliance
