Summary of Role: 

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Account Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is pivotal in managing and coordinating global programs as well as fostering strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will act as both a Program Manager, responsible for the strategic steering and coordination of World Programs, and a Managing Insurer, overseeing the relationship and commercial activity for a portfolio of clients where another World Agency (WA) team provides the strategic lead.

 

What we are looking for: 

 

Under the guidance and reporting to the EH WA Regional Account Director, your responsibilities will include:

 

Portfolio Growth and Quality:

  • Achieve portfolio growth and maintain high-quality standards.

 

As Program Manager:

  • Ensure proper implementation of programs by actively participating in the Business Implementation Committee (BIC) and coordinating WA teams domestically and internationally.
  • Secure program renewals by balancing customer needs with EHWA business targets, identifying cross- and up-selling opportunities, ensuring proper pricing, and proposing consistent terms and conditions in line with underwriting authority rules and guidelines.
  • Manage amendments on existing programs/policies, ensuring program integrity and client satisfaction.
  • Review, analyze, and implement transfer requests from EHBUs to EHWA.

 

As Managing Insurer:

  • Implement and issue policies at the local level.
  • Train and assist local clients during the policy lifecycle, providing service within the execution framework of the Managing Agreement (MA).
  • Report to the Program Account Director on managed policy performance, including risk acceptance, loss ratio, and mid-term amendment requests.

 

Quality of Service Standards:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in line with group-wide quality standards and the Operational Manual.
  • Adhere to account management standards, processes, and business rules.
  • Collaborate closely with core functions (e.g., Risk, Claims, PA) and other WA teams to deliver a customer-centric service.

 

As Program Manager:

  • Apply WA commercial underwriting standards to ensure portfolio profitability and quality.
  • Serve as the primary contact for brokers and client program management teams.

 

As Managing Insurer:

  • Interact with brokers and clients as directed by the Program Manager.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Advanced ability to manage and coordinate large global/remote teams to achieve objectives.
  • Advanced knowledge of the credit insurance industry, products, and regulations.
  • Expert ability to manage clients and global account portfolios, delivering best-in-class customer service.
  • Advanced ability to align with strategic guidelines to achieve portfolio renewal.
  • Advanced ability to identify and execute cross- and up-selling opportunities to meet growth targets.
  • Competent ability to build extensive networks and maintain close relationships with market players and opinion leaders.
  • Competent knowledge of claims methodologies and the impact of policy conditions.
  • Expert negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes with customers.
  • Advanced communication skills across all mediums (email, phone, etc.) and at all organizational levels within a multicultural setting.
  • Competent ability to operate effectively within a matrix structure.
  • Competent knowledge of basic IT systems (e.g., MS Word, Excel) with the ability to learn new systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English.
