We are looking for the Head of Strategic Client Development to join our London office 

 

Your Team 

As the Head of Strategic Client Development, you will report directly to the Chief Client Officer and work at the intersection of Client Management, Marketing, and Underwriting Strategy. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally, including regional Client Management teams, underwriting experts, marketing professionals, and digital transformation teams. You will also interact with strategic client management teams at brokers and have a deep understanding of the global client landscape. 

 

The Impact You Will Have 

In this role, you will play a critical part in driving Allianz Commercial's client growth strategy. By identifying market trends and growth opportunities, you will create differentiated value propositions and high-impact client engagement strategies. Your work will directly contribute to expanding strategic accounts, deepening client relationships, and enhancing revenue generation in key industries and regions. 

 

Some of your specific responsibilities could include 

 

Developing and Executing Client Growth Strategies: 

  • Create comprehensive strategies that anticipate market trends and align with Allianz Commercial's strategic priorities. 

  • Expand strategic accounts, deepen client relationships, and drive revenue growth globally. 

  • Collaborate with brokers to co-create growth strategies, especially for complex clients. 

 

Optimizing Client Pipelines: 

  • Partner with regional Client Management teams to enhance client pipelines, focusing on lead positions in growth areas such as Specialty and Multinational (MN). 

  • Own global Strategic Client Development KPIs and conduct sector and industry deep dives. 

  • Build joint pipelines with global brokers and identify opportunities at an early stage. 

 

Driving Value Propositions: 

  • Develop compelling client value propositions by integrating Allianz's capabilities across underwriting, claims, ARC, and MN. 

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to translate these propositions into impactful sales campaigns tailored to different client segments. 

 

Establishing Global Standards and Governance: 

  • Ensure adherence to global standards and guiding principles in all client-related projects and initiatives. 

  • Propose improvements to Allianz Commercial's Client Framework and Training Standards. 

 

Leading Cross-Functional Projects: 

  • Manage cross-functional project teams to drive strategic initiatives and deliver business improvements. 

 

Collaborating with Digital Transformation Teams: 

  • Partner with digital transformation teams to leverage technology for enhanced client engagement and optimized business processes. 

 

What You'll Bring to the Role 

We are looking for a candidate with the following skills, experience, and qualifications: 

  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into actionable client strategies. 

  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, pricing policies, and competitive landscapes. 

  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, communication, and driving change. 

  • Ability to liaise effectively across internal teams and external clients. 

  • Experience working with Key Account Managers and cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals. 

  • 7–10 years of experience in client strategy development, market-facing roles, and project management. 

  • Proven track record in building value propositions and driving sales in a global organization. 

  • Experience in the insurance industry, with cross-cultural and international exposure. 

  • Marketing experience in value propositions is a plus. 

  • A deep knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), with the ability to leverage AI-driven insights to shape strategic decisions and drive innovation across the organization. 

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field. 

  • Professional qualifications in the domain of practice are preferred. 

  • Proficiency in English is required. 

  • Knowledge of additional local or other languages is a plus.
