Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Develop pipeline and execute on broker plans. 

• Underwrite in line with the Liability governance framework - e.g. Underwriting Authorities, Underwriting Guidelines, Rules and Principles. 

• Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions. 

• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, clients and other relevant stakeholders. 

• Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to producers or producers has issued documentation. 

• Recommend improvements to existing reporting procedures based on data collation and research. 

• Positively represent Allianz Commercial externally to the market. 

• Proactively work with other functions (e.g. operations, credit control, multinational)  

• Manage timely and accurate booking of policy premiums and credit control/collection processes. 

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• An educational background in either Pharmaceutical Science, Chemistry or Biology is preferred, though not essential. 

• Ideally you are CII qualified or equivalent or working towards it. 

• Knowledge of the Clinical Trials Life Science insurance will be advantageous. 

• Experience in Underwriting, Operations, or Claims. 

• Understanding of the policy administration life cycle: information collection, policy issuance, premium bookings, credit control, cancellation. 

• Basic understanding of the local insurance market and competitor landscape. 

• Approachable, at ease creating and maintaining relationships both inside the company and with external contacts. 

• A proactive, dynamic, and results-driven mindset, with the ability to react quickly and stay on top of tasks in a fast-paced environment. 

• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to persuade others to act without direct authority. 

• Positive attitude to team work, able to assist others and also take on your own responsibilities. 

• Ability to effectively absorb information from various sources, then analyze, study or examine data in detail and draw appropriate conclusions. 

• The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable. 

• Ability to work in a complex, global matrix organization.
