We are looking for a Key Account Manager, based in London.
Your Team
Our team is dedicated to driving sustainable growth by selling Allianz Commercial products to Large Corporate Clients, building long-term relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction. We work as a strong team and connect clients to the wider Allianz organization for comprehensive solutions.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the UK Head of Key Account Management, Large Corporate & Specialty, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by proactively selling Allianz Commercial products and services to new and existing large corporate clients, ensuring sustainable profitability. You will do this by proactively developing and fostering long term, sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, brokers and Allianz Commercial staff. You will also lead and mobilise key account teams to ensure Allianz Commercial performance and ensure client satisfaction. Additionally, you will act as a navigator and facilitator, opening doors to the broader Allianz organization, including areas such as Mid Corporate, Allianz Trade Credit, and others.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Proactively foster robust and long-term relationships with Allianz Commercial Large Corporate key clients and develop profitable relationships with new clients.
- Facilitate client and broker understanding of Allianz Commercial Large Corporate’s underwriting appetites and capabilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact, trusted advisor, and solution provider for all client accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with brokers to access market opportunities and to collaborate efficiently on key accounts.
- Contribute to establishing remedial action where necessary, e.g., large claims, underwriting. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to identify suitable pipeline clients.
- Proactively lead and coordinate bids for key client acquisition.
- Develop in depth client and industry expertise and use this knowledge to challenge the client and uncover unspoken needs.
- Drive and maintain the Salesforce system including Strategic Account Planning of key clients.
- Develop balanced pipeline with target accounts / submissions to fulfil financial targets and desired business mix.
- Successfully increase Allianz Commercial Large Corporate’s ‘Size of Wallet’, meeting Upsell and Cross Sell targets, especially with Allianz Commercial Large Corporate Top Clients.
- Engage with the underwriters to profitably maximize the share of wallet.
- Clearly articulate the Allianz Commercial Large Corporate multi-line business offering and benefits to deliver Upsell and Cross Sell opportunities and to drive through the Allianz Commercial Large Corporate value proposition.
- Successfully deliver revenue and client retention renewal targets.
- Develop compelling individual value propositions for key people involved in the buying decision.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Development, Underwriting, Broker or Claims role within the industrial/specialty insurance business.
- Significant Experience in delivering results within an analytical role (e.g., sales environment, controlling roles, or similar). Excellent analytical skills.
- Proven ability to foster long-term, profitable relationships at a senior level within broker and/or client organizations.
- A successful track record of prospecting and acquiring new clients in the industrial/specialty insurance segment.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best outcomes for Allianz Commercial Large Corporate and clients, even in contentious situations, while managing conflicting priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence others without direct authority.
- Ability to act as a facilitator, orchestrating virtual teams to drive effective collaboration across functions.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to effectively balance strategic planning and operational execution to achieve business objectives.
- The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable.
