Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pricing Manager in our Personal Lines Home Pricing team. This will be a hybrid role based in one of our offices in London, Bournemouth or Birmingham.
This Pricing Manager role will play a pivotal part in driving innovation through a strong focus on research and development, leveraging data-driven insights to refine pricing strategies.
This role will be a FTC (Fixed Term Contract) for 1 year.
About You
Your role will vary day to day, but here is a bit of what you can expect:
- Lead and oversee the delivery of pricing analysis across multiple product lines, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
- Manage and coordinate technical projects aimed at enhancing underwriting performance, with a focus on optimizing pricing models and ensuring robust data governance.
- Define strategic priorities for pricing initiatives, monitor progress, and report outcomes to senior stakeholders to support product development and rate review cycles.
- Represent the pricing function in cross-functional meetings, presenting insights and driving decisions that improve profitability and market competitiveness.
- Mentor and develop pricing analysts within the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting, and data science teams to refine pricing strategies and implement innovative modelling techniques.
- Champion the use of advanced analytics and automation to improve pricing accuracy, responsiveness, and operational efficiency
Essential Skills
We don't expect you to know everything from day one, but the following will enable you to hit the ground running:
- Oversee the use of large and complex data sources to drive pricing strategy, ensuring the team applies advanced analytics using Python, SQL, SAS, or equivalent tools.
- Lead the deployment and enhancement of pricing models within Willis Towers Watson Radar, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with business goals.
- Provide strategic direction on pricing architecture, optimizing rating structures and model components to meet commercial targets and improve underwriting performance.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, translating technical pricing insights into actionable business decisions and managing expectations effectively.
- Guide the application of statistical modelling and machine learning techniques across the pricing team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement in predictive capabilities.
