Regional Head of Financial Institutions

The Head of Financial Institutions is responsible for the coordination and development of Allianz's trade relationships with Financial institutions, as insured and distributors
Main responsibilities
- Become the go-to-person for Financial Institutions topic at Regional Level
- Develop, sustain and widen relationships with large Financial institutions to exchange on their needs and what we can offer: Risk transfer and capital relief in various domains like Trade receivable finances, Investment Banking, TCI products distribution, Leasing, Mid Term, Securitization, Surety, Financial Guarantees, Project finance, ALM, Investment solutions, e-Commerce, BNPL etc.
- Manage and oversee current distribution agreements in place, e.g. Rabobank, RBS, HSBC
- Support regions in assessment of business opportunities, participate in the elaboration of client proposals when relevant, and ensure the highest levels of service to our financial institutions clients and partners ; in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
- Develop and sustain relationships with specialized stakeholders such as regulators, associations, e.g. IFTA, ICISA, in order to identify needs and be pro-active in proposing solutions ; contribute to Allianz Trade's thought leadership on such topics
- Develop and sustain an Allianz-wide network (e.g. AGCS, AGI, AIM) to ensure best practices sharing and contribute to the positioning of Allanz Trade as a key player in this area
- Support the senior leadership in defining a sound Financial Institutions strategy and participate to new products & services definition with all relevant stakeholders
- Ensure the proper collaboration between Group and Regions (knowledge management community, best practices sharing, etc.)
- Develop and sustain an Allianz-wide network (e.g. AGCS) to ensure best practices sharing and to the positioning of NEUR as a key player in this area
- Defining a Financial Institutions strategy for NEUR and participate to new products & services definition with all relevant stakeholders
- Develop an agile set up for the management of FI policies, engaging the key stakeholders to successfully manage relationships with Allianz Trade defined governance frameworks
- Ensure the proper collaboration between Group and Regions (knowledge management community, best practices sharing, etc.)
- Implement programmes to continue the knowledge share of Financial structures across the region
Knowledge & Experience required
- In depth know-how of Credit Insurance and Financial Institutions markets and dynamics (regulatory, business, etc.)
- Business focus: Curious about market trends and competitive dynamics (traditional of new digital players)
- Strong experience in Financial Institutions business (TCI / Capital relief, factoring, trade receivables, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of Financial Institutions dynamics and organizations, including regulatory environment and specialized stakeholders (professional associations, etc.)
- Good command of risk & pricing models, with the ability to engage and challenge all relevant stakeholders in this area
- Excellent understanding of specific banking-related TCI wordings (incl. ability to draft / challenge / review term sheets)
