TELESALES ACADEMY EXECUTIVE - 6 Months FTC

Summary of Role:
To collaborate with Market Management, Distribution, and Risk teams to build a robust pool of prospects and secure qualified meetings for the Direct Sales team. The role is focused on achieving monthly and quarterly appointment targets and supporting Direct New Business generation. This position also serves as a pathway into the sales apprenticeship programme, with the opportunity to advance into a Telesales Executive role and ultimately a field-based Development position.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with Market Management, CICs, ACMA, and Risk teams to build and maintain targeted prospect lists
- Successfully execute and monitor phone-based contact campaigns with prospect lists
- Develop, feed, and maintain a pipeline of "hot" callbacks, ensuring all activity is accurately recorded in the CRM system
- Follow up on key conversations to nurture and develop customer interest
- Make qualified appointments for Direct Credit Insurance Consultants to visit prospective clients
- Develop a strong working knowledge of trade credit insurance products and sales techniques to advance into a Telesales Executive role
- Undertake the Sales Apprenticeship training programme, including field-based experience
- Work closely with Credit Insurance Consultants (CICs) to develop into a sales executive, in combination with the Sales Apprenticeship
- Work towards obtaining an accredited Level 4 Sales Apprenticeship qualification
What we are looking for:
- Educated to Advanced/Graduate standard
- Strong ability to communicate persuasively and build rapport with prospects
- Self-motivated with excellent organisational and time management skills
- Ability to tailor the sales approach based on external variables (e.g., marketing communications, bankruptcy data, decision-maker level)
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Good understanding of the product's benefits and how they apply to prospective clients
- Positive attitude and the drive needed to succeed in a target-driven environment
- Capacity to engage in ongoing career development while consistently achieving individual appointment targets
