About the role
Allianz Group Compliance is evolving its investigations function toward a more integrated, increasingly technology- and AI-enabled operating model. We are at the beginning of that journey. The primary requirement for this role remains hands-on experience in complex investigations. In addition, the role holder will help shape how the function adopts investigative technology and AI – pragmatically, and in a responsible, human-led way. We welcome candidates from an investigations, IT-forensics or legal-tech background who combine strong investigative capability with a genuine interest in developing this area.
How can you make an impact?
As an Investigator / Investigation Counsel, your responsibilities will include:
Investigations
- Member of the rapid-reaction task force to lead investigations on ad hoc Compliance issues
- Assess, prioritize, execute and lead complex compliance investigations
- Collaborate with Regions / Global Lines / other entities on delegated investigations
- Provide expert guidance and support to Compliance Officers at local, regional and global levels
- Monitor, follow-up and escalate issues as necessary, ensuring resolution and compliance
- Make effective use of investigative technology and, as it is introduced, AI-enabled methods (e.g. e-discovery, data analytics) to work efficiently and at scale, keeping human judgment at the centre
- Continuously enhance and share insights and lessons learned
Governance
- Develop and implement governance frameworks to support effective investigation processes
- Review and update policies related to internal investigations and whistleblowing to ensure alignment with industry standards
Contribute to the further development of the investigations operating model, including the responsible integration of technology and AI as the setup matures - Provide guidance on governance issues related to internal investigations and whistleblowing to enhance organizational integrity
Awareness
- Contribute to initiatives aimed at elevating the awareness and effectiveness of the Whistleblowing program
Reporting
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate data entry into the Compliance Case Management Tool (CCMT)
- Develop and present detailed reports and presentations on Compliance investigations and related topics to senior management
- Analyze case data and CCMT usage to identify trends, providing strategic insights and reports where required
- Prepare responses to media requests and provide input to Sustainability reports, Audits and other similar / related information requests
Integrity Committee
- Fulfill obligations under the Integrity Committee Terms of Reference (both ad hoc and standing committees)
- Prepare and present Integrity Committee reports and minutes
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
- Solid experience (3+ years) and proven competence in conducting and, increasingly, leading complex investigations effectively and efficiently, ideally with international exposure
- Strong expertise in remediation and mitigation measures in an international and multicultural environment
- Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and constructively with all levels, including senior management, within a multicultural organization
- Proven ability to learn, acquire and apply new knowledge and skills in digital and investigative methodologies, laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of the insurance business is an advantage
- Some practical, operational experience with investigative technology – e.g. e-discovery, data analytics, IT forensics or legal-tech tools – whether gained as an investigator, IT-forensics specialist or legal-technology professional
- Interest in helping build an AI-enabled investigation capability, with a pragmatic and responsible view of where technology adds real value;
- Strong communication and report-writing skills (fluent English required; additional languages a plus)
- Results-driven team player
- Willingness to work across time zones and travel internationally
- Strategic and innovative approach to working in a governance function
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
- Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
