The Reinsurance Team at Allianz Commercial is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to optimizing risk management strategies and enhancing financial stability through effective reinsurance solutions. Our team collaborates closely with underwriters, actuaries, and financial analysts to design and implement reinsurance programs that align with Allianz's strategic goals. With a focus on innovation and excellence, we leverage our expertise to navigate complex market conditions, ensuring robust protection and sustainable growth for the company. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
- Analyze and assess reinsurance treaties and contracts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with corporate risk management objectives.
- Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to evaluate risk exposures and determine optimal reinsurance strategies that support business goals.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on reinsurance program performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor market trends and developments in the reinsurance industry, integrating relevant findings into the team's practices to maintain competitive advantage.
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and software to model reinsurance scenarios, assess potential impacts on the company's financial position, and support forecasting efforts.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Ideally, advanced degree in mathematics, finance, business administration or another area that involves a strong focus on quantitative analysis
- Professional reinsurance experience and in-depth understanding of reinsurance practice
- Expert knowledge of reinsurance instruments, underlying business and Actuarial / Risk Capital requirements
- Technical and practical background in one industrial insurance Line of Business (Lob), general understanding of all major LoBs and a robust understanding of actuarial principles and practices
- Ability to evaluate risk reward effects of reinsurance, e.g. impact on P&L and capital position of company
- Skill-set to analyze highly complex data, from multiple sources, in detail; identify and resolve issues before they transpire
- Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally
- A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.
- Fluent English language skills
