Group Taxation (GTAX) is the tax department of Allianz SE, the listed parent company of Allianz Group. GTAX supports the Board of Management to ensure high quality and efficient tax reporting and tax compliance and represents the company against external authorities. With our diverse team of more than 30 tax advisors, lawyers and senior experts we enable sustainable growth by providing tax advice to senior management, performing group wide tax planning and engaging in strategic projects. GTAX sets group wide tax standards, steers and coordinates the local tax functions to ensure effective tax risk management and to safeguard Allianz reputation as a responsible tax payer. In GTAX we constantly strive for benchmark performance and best practice.
Group Tax operates globally, with regular interaction across operating entities, tax authorities, senior management, and C-level stakeholder.
 

 

How can you make an impact?

 

In this role you will take ownership of and drive the following areas: 

  • Own and drive the end-to-end GloBE / Pillar 2 reporting and compliance process for Allianz Group including respective fiscal audit topics
  • Support Pillar 2 tax planning initiatives, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and steering impact assessments to shape strategic decision-making on investment structures and Group-wide tax positioning 
  • Drive the development of governance frameworks, policies, and standards for sustainable Pillar 2 compliance across all jurisdictions
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and standardization of tax reporting processes and tools to increase efficiency and data quality
  • Manage Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) to fiscal authorities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Drive public tax transparency reporting, positioning Allianz as a leader in responsible tax governance 
  • Steer internal and external reporting on the tax situation in Allianz Group's quarterly and annual IFRS and Solvency II related financial statements 
  • Setting and evolution of IFRS and Solvency II tax accounting policies and guidelines across Allianz Group
  • Drive the resolution of complex tax accounting issues, providing authoritative guidance to the business 
  • Act as the central point of accountability for cross-functional projects related to tax accounting and reporting issues, ensuring alignment with Group strategy        
     

 

What are you made of?

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • University degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field; certified tax advisor
  • 5+ years of professional experience as tax advisor or inhouse tax manager
  • Experience in IFRS, Solvency II tax accounting and reporting 
  • Expert IAS 12 knowledge
  • Deep knowledge in Global Minimum Tax regulations 
  • Experience in Global Minimum Taxation implementation projects including respective IT-tool landscape
  • Expert knowledge in national and international taxes, ideally with specific focus on investment structures 
  • Very good knowledge of Excel and SAP and AI tools
  • Experience in IT tool development/implementation and data analysis
  • Business fluent English

  • Project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with AI solutions and automatization of tax processes
  • Detailed, consistent way of working, ability to address complex issues
  • Ability to work and drive projects independently  
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, team player        
  • Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
  • Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
