Who will you join?
As a Compliance Officer, you will analyse sanctions regulations or money laundering-related laws and carry out corresponding business evaluations. The IT-supported screening tools are part of the day-to-day business. To ensure compliance requirements are met, you will work with underwriting and claims, among other things. Conducting training, improving processes and risk-based activities round off your position.
How can you make an impact?
You will:
- Work in AML/TF and sanctions prevention and control projects, such as:
Non-Financial Risk Management
Planning of reviews and controls in various Allianz companies
Further development of processes
Planning and implementation of trainings for national and international teams - Plan, prepare, implement and follow-up of compliance reviews
- Process internal and external inquiries with complex issues from the sanctions/embargoes and AML/TF within the high-risk areas of the Allianz companies
- Further the development of professional risk assessments
- Evaluate and analyse all sanctions-relevant processes to support the preparation of reports
- Analyse, process and monitor processes for the prevention of sanctions/embargoes in various IT monitoring systems
- Further develop rules for processing and checking warning messages in the screening tools
- Support in recording and assessing compliance risks and Control
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in both English and German
- 3+ years experience in economic sanctions and anti-money laundering within an insurance company, bank, or similar financial service provider
- Familiarity with key sanctions law provisions (particularly EU, UN, OFAC, UK) and their application in the financial services sector and GWG
- Experience with IT monitoring and portfolio management systems
- Proven track record in developing AML/TF policies and procedures, ensuring their effective and ongoing implementation
- Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and work in a structured, meticulous, and independent manner, especially under tight deadlines
- Proficient in using all Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
- Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
