Associate in Investment Analytics & Monitoring (m/f/d) at AIM SE

Job purpose/role

You will work in the Data Management function of AIM within the Investment Analytics & Monitoring team. Your role will involve financial analysis, reporting and monitoring on the global investment book of Allianz Group, refining analytical processes and enhancing data quality to provide the foundation for informed investment decision-making. The work involves participation in strategic projects with close interaction to senior management and local Allianz entities across the Globe.

Key responsibilities

• Compile monthly portfolio investment reports for Allianz Group (e.g. asset allocation, yield analysis, performance, deep-dives in different asset classes, risk indicators)
• Enhance existing reporting tools, automate data-driven processes and improve their resilience (in Excel and PowerBI)
• Provide input for meetings and board presentations as well as ad hoc requests
• Cover both traded and private asset classes to ensure high coverage and quality of investment data as basis for deep-dive analysis
• Collaborate with global and local teams across departments (such as investment strategy, asset liability management, asset managers and data providers)

Key requirements/skills/experience 

• Preferably 2+ years experience in insurance company, finance or investment management area
• Master's degree in finance, economics, or similar areas 
• Interest in investment management, willingness to develop understanding of investment processes and financial instruments (incl. derivatives)
• Interest to work with investment and investment-related (e.g. ESG) data 
• Strong Excel and PowerBI experience; other skills in tools to work with data / databases (e.g. SQL, Python) are beneficial
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, ability to present complex information in a concise manner
• Team player, willingness to work with several contact points, including senior management
