Job purpose / role

 

Allianz Investment Management (AIM) is the in-house investment manager of the Allianz Group. We manage and steer investments on behalf of Allianz insurance entities worldwide and support the achievement of the Group's strategic and financial objectives.
You will work in the Strategic Corporate Planning team within the Corporate Functions department at AIM, reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Functions. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for managing global budget planning and controlling processes and Allianz internal cost allocation.

 

 

Key responsibilities

 

  • Support planning activities, including budget planning and forecasting
  • Take responsibility for budget and cost controlling at AIM and support the relevant planning activities in close collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Analyze current business developments and prepare regular reports as part of the ongoing controlling process, including the use and further development of relevant processes and tools
  • Manage requests from internal and external stakeholders worldwide and prepare, explain and present analyses to AIM and Allianz senior management
  • Manage cost allocations to AIM customers, including invoicing, stakeholder communication and coordination with Accounting
  • Support various reporting activities, including transfer pricing, foreign trade reporting and reporting to the AIM Administrative Board

 


Key requirements/skills/experience

 

  • Master degree in business administration, economics, mathematics, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of professional experience in planning, controlling, accounting or audit; IFRS and HGB knowledge is an advantage
  • CFA charter holder/candidate or comparable additional qualification is a plus
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear key messages, combined with strong Microsoft Office skills (advanced Excel and PowerPoint required; knowledge of Power BI, VBA and AI tools is a beneficial)
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required, German language skills are an asset
