Global P&C is a Group Centre of Allianz SE based in Munich. Mandated to drive P&C profit enhancement globally, Global P&C supports operating entities (OEs) to develop a competitive advantage in their markets, to create a self-sustaining culture of improvement within the Allianz Group, to foster P&C talent development, and to enhance Technical Excellence (TEX) in P&C. An international team with diverse backgrounds and extensive experience, Global P&C has 90+ colleagues from over 20 countries.
How can you make an impact?
In this position you will work closely with Global P&C colleagues across Claims, Pricing, Underwriting and Portfolio Management, as well as senior leaders and technical experts at Allianz SE Group and OE level, contributing to the measurable financial impact of recoveries management in claims, and Allianz's position as an innovator and market leader in this capability.
On top of the focus on claims effectiveness, our team collaborates with other Group Centres on transformation levers such as digitalization, AI, and process mining, to optimize efficiency and customer experience. You will take ownership of Recoveries Technical Expertise and performance at a Group level.
This position will allow you to gain top management visibility. With your functional expertise, you inspire the internal clients and your colleagues as a strong connector and collaborator, who motivates and influences experts from diverse OEs and backgrounds to achieve the common goal.
You will:
- Lead and motivate the Recoveries Community in the Global Claims Expert Network
- Engage with external experts and OEs to grow the opportunity base and identify new areas of opportunity
- Provide the setting for actionable sharing of best practice and knowledge
- Be responsible for the delivery of your own work streams/ projects
- Prepare top management presentations providing transparency for Management Stakeholders and the Group Claims Committee
- Collaborate with managers from different countries and Group Centres to quantify and measure Claims Recoveries performance, setting targets with OEs and stretching ambitions
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications:
- You are enthusiastic about insurance and the opportunity to contribute to Allianz's financial performance. In addition to appropriate university qualifications, you have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a senior role in claims, directly working in, or closely working with, the Recoveries function
- Performance and outcome driven orientation
- Understanding of claims financial operations
- Sound (technical) claims knowledge, preferably across multi LOB
- Strategic thinking to connect the dots across technical functions e
- Experience to contribute to the collaborative identification of new opportunities in Recoveries and design of initiatives to maximize those opportunities
- Support standard setting for OEs claims performance management and reporting
- Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Experience managing small projects
- Excellent English language skills, additional language is a plus
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to interact with senior management
- Ability to work independently and quickly take on new tasks and topics
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
